PenFlow AI was founded in 2023 by visionaries in the field of Generative AI. They recognized early on the potential of this technology to transform the world of communication for the better. The founders saw a need for user-friendly apps that the general public could use to make writing letters, e-mails, manuscripts, essays, reports, and other forms of written communication easier.
PenFlow AI is a part of the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub. Microsoft supports our company by sponsoring our use of their cloud platform, i.e., Azure, as well as providing us with technical advice and other assistance.
PenFlow AI's first app shares the name of the firm "PenFlow." The app is designed with writers in mind. It mimics the way many authors write using a three step process: 1) Write an outline of topic using bullet points, 2) Write content based on the outline, and 3) Revise the document. The PenFlow app does steps 2 and 3 for you. The app should be viewed as your writing assistant, not your replacement. That means that you the human writer is responsible for proofreading and fact-checking the app's automated output.
The first version of the app is optimized for use on laptops only. While you can use it on tablets and mobile phones, it is not optimized for use on these devices. The PenFlow app was released to the general public on August 7, 2023. A new "Analyze" feature which tells the user the percentage of content generated by the user compared to AI was introduced in October 2023. The latest version of the app includes a "Quote Recommender" that suggests well-known quotes based on generated text.
